MIN and MAX
Identify the smallest and largest values and use them as quality checks.
Locate the boundaries of your data
MIN returns the lowest numeric value and MAX returns the highest. They ignore text and blank cells in a normal range.

An impossible minimum or unusually high maximum may reveal a typing error, wrong unit, or incorrect formula.
